Core team of The Wailers was founded by Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh in 1969 and later The Upsetters members later joined the band.This togetherness lasted through the period when Bob Marley became a Idole scoring numerous hits  worldwide. After the death of Bob Marley in 1981,the band has performed in many festivals and club tours under the leadership of Junior Marvin and Aston "Family Man" Barrett's on its way to the present day and has continued uninterrupted. The Wailers have a successful and colorful career lasting to present day, collaborating with numerous artists such as Carlos Santana Sting, Stevie Wonder as well as  reggae legends Burning Spear, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer.
