Extraordinary trumpeter and composer Erik Truffaz earned reputation in international jazz stage with his musical style, combining jazz music with new genres as electronica, drum’n’bass and hip hop. He is occasionally liken to one of the most important “jazz fussions” Miles Davis by music critics.

In 1993 he was awarded with “Prix Special” by one of the most prestigious jazz awards, “Jury de Concours National de la Defence”. At the same year, he performed at one of the most important jazz festivals, “Montreux Jazz Festival” for the first time.
