Sophie Hunger

Swiss artist Sophie Hunger will be on the Babylon stage on Saturday, 12 November!

Sophie Hunger made her first break in 2006 with “Sketches on Sea” featuring tracks she recorded in her bedroom. She then had the chance to work with the likes of Erik Truffaz, The Young Gods and Stephan Eichnar. Described as “Laura Marling, Beth Orton and Björk in one folk-rocking package” by The Guardian, Hunger released her second album “Monday’s Ghost” in 2008. While Monday’s Ghost made it to the top of the charts in Switzerland, she became an international success with the 2010 release “1983” and the 2012 release “The Danger of Light.” She became the first Swiss artist to perform at Glastonbury Festival and released her fourth album “The Rules of Fire” in 2013 with a supporting documentary directed by the French director Jeremiah. Hunger collaborated with John Vanderslice and Mark Lawson on her latest album “Supermoon.” The artist will be at Babylon on Saturday, 12 November for a performance including the hits “Le Vent Nous Portera”, “LikeLikeLike” and “Shape.”
