Red Bull Music Academy presents Afrobeat's legendary drummer Tony Allen, live on stage at Babylon Istanbul on Thursday, 2 April!

Tony Allen,  at a young age, has a great interest in percussion, he decided to become a musician without the assent of the family. At mid 60s, self-educated  Nigerian drummer , composer and songwriter Tony Allen ,realized his childhood dream by taking  a great opportunity to work with Fela Kuti. Music duo had worked together  on a unique genre which includes jazz and traditional African Juju  for a longtime. In  70s, Tony Allen  has settled in Europe. He blends afro-funk rhythms  with modern genres such as rock, hip hop. He become a master drummer by gathering outstanding funky rhythms with extraordinary lyrics. The jazz lovers will experience an unforgettable night at Babylon!
