Coşkun Karademir Trio Folk’n’Jazz is at Babylon on Friday, April 24th!

Reinterpreting Anatolia’s millennia-old musical heritage with a contemporary perspective, Coşkun Karademir invites his audience on an intercultural musical journey with the Folk’n’Jazz project. The melodic and emotional depth of folk music attains a new form on the same stage through the improvisation-based, free structure of jazz.

In this special project, Karademir is accompanied by Selen Gülün, one of the prominent pianists of the international jazz scene, and drummer Robert Mehmet İkiz, who holds a strong position in the global jazz world. The common language of the three musicians establishes a balanced and vivid musical narrative between the traditional and the contemporary.
