The Away Days-style dream pop at Babylon on March 22

Founded in Istanbul by Can Özen and Orkun Atik, The Away Days have developed a unique style that spans from indie rock to shoegaze, blending influences from Turkey with dream pop. The band’s atmospheric performances at festivals such as SXSW and The Great Escape have earned them an international following, with sold-out shows across Europe. They've also been invited to warm up the stage for artists such as Jungle, Belle & Sebastian, Massive Attack, and Portishead.

As the first official Fender Global artists from Turkey, The Away Days’ songs have been featured in fashion shows for Victoria Beckham and Ralph Lauren. The Guardian reviewed the band with the following words: “Turkish shoegaze might not be a major phenomenon, but given the breadth of their talent, it soon could be.” The Independent included them in their list of “Young Bands That Must Be Listened To.” After releasing an EP of live recordings in 2024, The Away Days are currently working on their second album.
