Oi Va Voi at Babylon with their new album, “The Water’s Edge”, on May 9.

In dark and fractured times music offers balm to soothe our wounds and assuage our sorrows and can bring hope and comfort. With a narrative reminiscent of their breakthrough album Laughter Through Tears, Oi Va Voi has spent over 20 years blending dance rhythms, singer-songwriter sensitivity, and a rock ‘n’ roll spirit with their cultural heritage, drawing inspiration from the cosmopolitan rhythms of Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.

The first single from the band's upcoming album, set for release on May 2, “Sad Dance”, was born as a response to the devastating earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria in 2023. The band entered the studio the day after the disaster, seeking an artistic expression of the tragedy, and this song emerged from that process.

Oi Va Voi will take the stage at Babylon on May 9, performing both fresh tracks from their new album and fan-favorite classics.
