After long time, the cult musician and guitarist Marc Ribot, who has worked with many famous musicians like John Zorn, The Lounge Lizards, Arto Lindsay, Medeski, Martin and Wood and Elvis Costello, will take the stage again at Babylon to perform with The Young Philadelphians.
The Young Philadelphians is formed by Jamaaladeen Tacuma, G. Calvin Weston, Mary Halvorson, and Marc Ribot, who are known for their love of Philly soul and hard groove. Led by the master guitarist Marc Ribot, the trio, which use experimental and improvisational elements of punk, funk and 1970s soul without abandoning groove, have made its place in Time Out New York’s list of 10 performances that should not be missed. The Young Philadelphians, who are well known for their classics like ‘The Hustle,’ ‘Love Rollarcoaster,’ ‘TSOP,’ and ‘Love Epidemic,’ will be performing on the Babylon stage on 19 October.
