Voiceful and cheerful band Cümbüş Cemaat will be our guest on June 8th!
Interpreting traditional music through the touches of its members without binding themselves to forms, Cümbüş Cemaat also make their own compositions. Having performed at various venues and festivals, the band took part in the movie “Djam'' directed by Tony Gatlif in 2017 and went on stage before the movie’s premiere at Cannes Film Festival. The band released their album “Istanbul” in 2020 under Essay Recordings by finalizing its recording with Shantel in Frankfurt, and defines the release as “an utopia in dystopic times”.
