Icelandic ambient-folk orchestra Amiina is visiting Babylon for Nordik Music Festival on 15th of April for the firs time.

Composed of Hildur Ársælsdóttir, Edda Rún Ólafsdóttir, Maria Huld Markan Sigfúsdóttir and Sólrún Sumarliðadóttir, Amiina have performed live and in the studio along with Sigur Ros and have participated in Sigur Ros’ albums ( ) and Takk... Their own project has started with a self-released ep, Animamina, in 2004. This ep’s followed by their debut album Kurr, which is released through the band's own label, Bláskjár in 2007. Before their 2009 release Re Minore, Magnús Trygvason Eliassen and Kippi Kaninus joined the band to participate in the recording sessions of the second album Puzzle in 2010. Combining the elements of minimalistic folk, contemporary classical and ambient music, Amiina play a large range of instruments in their live performances.
