Australian indie pop artist and songwriter Sarah Blasko is in Babylon for two beautiful spring evenings, on 9 and 10 April included in Garanti Caz Yeşili Concerts, as part of her last album I Awake tour.
Inspired by Prince, David Bowie, Rachmaninov, Schubert and Bach introduced by Eurythmics’s dad. She cleverly combines folk and indie pop and shared her enchanting voice for the first time with the six song EP Prelusive, released in 2004. She won the Best Pop Album award in 2007 with the albums What The Sea Wants, The Sea Will Have in ARIAMusic Awards. In the following years, by being nominated for the Best Album, Best Female Artist and Best breakthrough artist, she made the whole world adopt her talent. She has three platinum and one gold album and toured with names such James Blunt, Martha Wainwright, Tom MacRae, Ray LaMontagne, The Temper Trap. After her critically acclaimed fourth studio album I Awake, by authorities such as Mojo, Uncut, Vogue, Grazia, The Independent, , she is getting ready to meet music lovers of Istanbul, with her fragile and fairy-tale sound voice.
