December 12 2026 Modundayız Presents: Brooklyn Funk Essentials

Modundayız Presents: Brooklyn Funk Essentials at Babylon on Saturday Evening, December 12th!

Bringing together funk, soul, hip-hop, jazz, and disco into a distinctive sound over a career spanning more than 30 years, Brooklyn Funk Essentials has built a dedicated global following with their energetic live performances. Emerging from New York’s vibrant club scene in the 1990s, the collective made an immediate splash with their 1994 debut album, Cool & Steady & Easy.

Sharing a special connection with Turkey, the group collaborated with Laço Tayfa in Istanbul for their 1996 album In the BuzzBag, seamlessly fusing funk with traditional Turkish music and earning a Grammy nomination.

Continuing their musical journey with Black Butterfly, released in 2026, Brooklyn Funk Essentials takes the stage at Babylon on December 12th for a night packed with funk, soul, and groove!
