An extraordinary persona of the local music scene, Mabel Matiz will perform at Babylon on 15 December! 

Mabel Matiz began his career in music in 2008 by anonymously posting on his website the guitar-vocal songs and cover demos he recorded himself. In 2009, he met Engin Akıncı who showed interest in his music, followed by forming of his band with the inclusion of Alper Erinç and Alper Gemici, and the release of his self-titled debut album in 11 May 2011. This debut was named among “the best 10 albums of the year”. Mabel Matiz released his second album “Yaşım Çocuk” in 2013. The album, arranged by Can Güngör and Cihan Mürtezaoğlu, and mixed and vocal-coached by Tolga Görsev, entered the charts high. Mabel Matiz performed more than a 100 gigs in about 50 cities throughout his career, and earned the titles of the most selling and the most performing artist in 2013 and 2014. Matiz was awarded “Breakthrough Artist of The Year” by Hürriyet - Altın Kelebek, and “Musician of The Year” by GQ Türkiye magazine. His album “Yaşım Çocuk” was also awarded by the readers of the magazine Milliyet Sanat. His latest album “Gök Nerede” was released in 2015, and managed to top the charts for a long time.
