You will forget all the belly dances that you’ve done until today and go beyond your limits during this night. Aunts, uncles, sisters and brothers-in-law will be meeting at the dancefloor along progressive wedding music blurred with punk, jazz and electronic sounds.

Having released four albums entitled “Balkanatolia”, “Krivoto”, “Kerevet” and “Pastırma Yazı” since 2006, Kolektif Istanbul blends Anatolian and Balkan music through a different perspective with jazz and funk instrumentals. Continuing to reunite their fun performances with their listeners, the group released their fifth studio album “Kısmet” in Spring 2021, simultaneously in Europe and Turkey.

Refusing to stay within the limits of a single music genre and preferring to play around forms within different genres, the band gave successful performances at international festivals such as Montreux Jazz Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, The Flow Festival and Fira Mediterrania. Impressing their audience with their warm videos, the band is formed by Richard Laniepce at the saxophone, Aslı Doğan at the vocals, Batuhan Baraç at the drums, Ertan Şahin at the sousaphone, Tamer Karaoğlu at the clavier and Talat Karaoğlu at the clarinet.
