Erkan Oğur collaborated with İlkin Deniz and Turgut Alp Bekoğlu back in 1995 and they started their pursuit of music as a band, Telvin.

This pursuit was an expression of the notion ‘telvin’ in music. They have been performing in international and national festivals and many performance venues for 10 years. They released their first album in 2006. 

Telvin, means colors. In Islamic mysticism, transforming and walking through decision state.

If there is still music where you purify from humane weaknesses like passion, fear, love, ambition and desire, it is pure music. Themes are shaped from universe’s musical energy’s gift to Anatolia, have wide improvisatios and unique attitude.

Telvin is both pretensionless and limitless.

-If Telvin is a place, we knocked the doors, it has opened by chance. We’ve enetered and the door closed onto us… - we are lost. Looking for the door opened through outside.

Music is a fact belonged to the past… of course there will be music in the future but existence of future’s music is dependent on its past.
