Described as “a musician who combines Western indie rock with Turkish music” by BBC World, Gaye Su Akyol takes the stage at Babylon Bomonti on Saturday, January 23.
Accompanied by her debut LP, Develerle Yaşıyorum, made up of songs she wrote and arranged herself, the musician welcomes her audience at the Babylon Bomonti stage with her velvety voice, bass-drum-guitar trio, expanded by addition of local folk instruments, and her fusion of Eastern and Western music.
