From sludge to hip hop and dub to free jazz, Demonation Festival will be presenting a wide selection from Turkey's independent music scene once again.

This year, the 4th of Bant Mag's Demonation Festival series, ongoing since 2010, will be taking place at Babylon. A festival in which musicians and bands producing and distributing their music through independent channels take the stage, Demonation has taken place in different venues over the years, including Tamirane, arkaoda, and Salon IKSV. Host to bands preparing their demos independent of big record labels, and free of commercial pressures, who will no doubt tear up the stage, the festival has previously included bands such as Bubituzak, Bicycle Day, Seni Görmem İmkansız, She Past Away, Farfara, and many more. Taking place over the course of the first few days of the new year, this years lineup will once again join names from all over the musical spectrum on the same stage.

utkan la deniz

utkan la deniz is a project animated with Utkan Çınar and Deniz Koloğlu, in time, turned into a crowded orchestra. With their acoustic and calm music and catchy melodies, utkan la deniz is preparing to release an EP in the coming weeks.
 

Robotik Hayaller

Robotik Hayaller is a crowded music collective that came into existance with experiments of combining industrial and surreal sounds at home and studio. The band released their first record 3-33 as a cassette in limited amount.
 

Balina

Guitar-drums duo from İzmir recorded and released their self-titled album on their own. Balina, Alican Öyke and Burçin Esin, adopts progressive rock and creats really loud sounds, also some inspirations from Turkey can be found in their songs.
 

Marika

Three musicians that appeared in Dandadadan, Kara Orkestra, 123, Great Republic of South, Konstrukt and many projects creates loud, free jazz music under the name Marika formed by Korhan Futacı, Berke Can Özcan and Barlas Tan Özemek. It seems like they will have the most vigorous performance in the festival.
 

Alpman & The Midnight Walkers

Alpman & The Midnight Walkers has started as Güneş Alpman’s solo project and turned into a more crowded funk experience. Get ready for a performance with vintage guitar tones and heavy rhythms that you could not prevent your neck to move.
 

12 Metreküp Sound System

A bouncing dub set will be on the stage! With 12 Metreküp Sound System formed by Utku Önal and Serkan Köseoğlu, you can feel the bass stolling around your whole body.
