Creating unique melodies and rhythms by combining different styles such as classical music, arabesque and jazz, Taksim Trio will be our guest November 15th!

Taksim Trio was formed in 2007 by 3 virtuosos who met in their childhood years: Husnu Senlendirici on clarinet, Aytac Dogan on kanun and Ismail Tuncbilek on baglama. The members took part in different projects with various artists in Europe and the Middle-East, only deciding to record in the studio after playing together at concerts. Their first album that carries their group name was released under Doublemoon records in 2007. After a six-year break during which each musician focused on different projects, they released their second album “Taksim Trio 2” under Dokuz Sekiz records. The album includes unique compositions alongside tracks by Orhan Gencebay, Zulfu Livaneli and Sukru Tunar. Their third album “Ahi” came out in 2016. Having successfully performed at world famous stages, such as WOMEX and Queen Elizabeth Hall during the London Jazz Festival, the musically rich trio is considered one of the most-followed groups in world music of recent years.
