Alpha Blondy

Alpha Blondy, one of the colourful names of Reggae, will be at Babylon on Thursday, 17 November evening as part of the XXF Very Very French Festival organised with contributions from the French Cultural Centre!

Institut Français Turquie presents:

Seydou Koné’s, or as commonly known, Alpha Blondy’s interest in reggae music began in 1977 while he attended the concert of the legendary Jamaican band Burning Spear. Blondy hit the headlines with his first album “Jah Glory” in 1982, taking the spotlight with his radical and political lyrics that were a blend of Dyua and French. In 2011, 4 years after he released his 18th album “Jah Victory” in 2007, Alpha Blondy broke his silence by releasing the album “Vision”. After the “Vision” album, where he reflected on his nostalgic awareness, in 2013, Alpha Blondy released the “Mystic Power” album and finally, in 2015, he again met his fans with the “The Solar System – Positive Energy”.

Alpha Blondy will meet his audience on Thursday, 17 November at Babylon, during the XXF Very Very French Festival, at an evening accompanied by reggae rhythms!
