Shalgam Records presents a night of rock'n'roll with Light Motiv and Hav Hav!

Curated by the independent label focusing on Turkey’s underground scene, “Shalgam Records Selects: Light Motiv & Hav Hav Hav!” will take place at Babylon on November 7.

Light Motiv

Light Motiv, an independent dream-pop / indie rock project founded by Sarp Öztürk in Izmir in mid-2019, is back with new recordings after a long break. Öztürk handles all production, recording and mixing in light motiv, and when playing live, he is accompanied by Durukan Betses on drums, Mert Sarıkaya on second guitar and keyboard, and İlker Özalp on bass guitar. light motiv recently released its third EP, KOY (meaning COVE), which features Turkish lyrics for the first time. Expect to experience a wide range of sounds from soft and slow guitars to heavily shoegaze-inspired high moments in their live performance.

Hav Hav!

Consisting of vocalist / guitarist Mert Tugen, bassist Emir Aktunç, drummer Ozan Uzunsoy and guitarist Caner Akcan, Hav Hav! is a band fond of lo-fi garage and punk aesthetics. After their debut album, Barking Dogs (2022), Hav Hav! has released singles “Derdin Ne Benimle” and “Arabama Bin”, a collaboration with Lin Pesto, as a preview of their upcoming second album. There’s no doubt that swaying to their energetic guitars and singing along to their catchy tunes will feel totally refreshing.
