Adi Oasis has been on stage at every stage of her life since she joined a choir at the age of 5. Her songs bring the audience to their feet with their soulful and funky R&B sounds. Born in Paris into a family of Caribbean immigrants, she settled in New York after her student years and shaped her career there. Adi Oasis has performed all over the world with many musicians including Gilles Peterson, Lenny Kravitz, Thundercat and Anderson .Paak, and she has been working as a solo artist since 2018. Her politically charged latest album Lotus Flower shines with soaring vocals, groovy bass and retro-futuristic production, and she describes it with the following words: “Thematically my new album is fearless, yet vulnerable, and also more political, because I’m a black female immigrant, and these are my truths.” Adi Oasis will be playing in Istanbul for the first time as part of Akbank Jazz Festival at Babylon on October 12.
