Kardes Turkuler, a project by Bogazici Performing Arts Ensemble, will be on Babylon stage on Thursday, 27 October to spread the message of peace and brotherhood through music.
Kardes Turkuler interpret folk songs in several languages from Anatolia, Thrace and Mesopotamia, focusing on themes of brotherhood and coexistence. The band released their self-titled debut album in 1997 with Kalan Muzik, carrying a message of multiculturalism and the brotherhood of people. The album, which fused the sounds of Eastern Anatolia and Mesopotamia, gained both national and international acclaim with its focus on multiculturalism and the communication among cultures.
Kardes Turkuler will perform the best of their songs for peace on Thursday, 27 October on Babylon stage.
