Selin Sümbültepe and her new blend, Hemhal, inspired by her past, are at Babylon!

Selin Sümbültepe, who released her albums Cızgan in 2017 and Ben Estim Sen Esme in 2021, is a distinctive voice in the independent music scene, known for her original compositions and interpretations. Although she is currently evolving her artistic style, her storytelling and free style between genres remain unchanged.

Combining Middle Eastern melodies with Western music, Sümbültepe creates a unique blend rooted in her cultural background. Her new EP, Hemhal, produced by Lebanese global music pioneer Zeid Hamdan, will be released on September 26 by Riyadh-based record label MDLBEAST. Reflecting on their collaboration, Sümbültepe notes: “If my music career were a book, this experience would be the chapter I would underline. I realized that there are no boundaries, and anything you do from the heart will be rewarded.” The debut concert for the Hemhal EP will take place at Babylon on October 30.
