Tortured Soul created a whole new concept in house music...
The group combines club music with house-jazz, funk and soul, and incorporates afro-beats and samba. They sound like a synthesis of Jamiroquai, Stevie Wonder, Prince, and Fela Kuti. They have shared the stage with many remarkable names such as James Brown, Maceo Parker, John Scofield, Widespread Panic and Soulive. Their first album Introducing was released in 2004 and gained immediate recognition. Tortured Soul’s upbeat sound which is a combination of soul, electronica, and house will get you on the dancefloor.
