Legendary Turkish folk musician Selda Bagcan and the Israeli band Boom Pam reunite in Istanbul following their stellar collaboration at Primavera Sound 2016!
Selda Bağcan, a legend in Turkish folk music, reunites with Tel Avivian Boom Pam on the Babylon stage. Bağcan, a living Turkish-folk hero, has been listed among the most influential women in music by the Times and Rolling Stone, and is thought to be among the living legends of Turkish music history. She crowned her incredible career in music - which has witnessed unique spins on folk classics such as “Adaletin Bu Mu Dünya” and “Çemberimbe Gül Oya” in addition to soulful originals such as “Uğurlar Olsun” - with “40 Yılın 40 Şarkısı,” a compilation of the best from her discography since 1971. Boom Pam, the surf-rock quartet that collaborated with Bağcan on multiple occasions in the past, will offer a smorgasbord of Middle Eastern tunes played with the electric guitar, tuba, keyboard and drums.
