This year, one of the most extraordinary names that festival presents is Butterscotch.
It would not be wrong to call Butterscotch “a one-man orchestra” that combines jazz with beatboxing. This young musician who does beatboxing while playing the guitar and the piano is considered as a role model for many people. Her wide range of influences includes Chopin, Coltrane, and genres such as jazz, classical hip-hop, and r&b. Butterscotch will share the stage with Alp Ersönmez, known in Istanbul as a member of projects such as the Quartet Muartet, Kangroove, İlhan Erşahin’s İstanbul Sessions and for his solo works. Butterscotch will be joining Alp Ersönmez and his Cereyanlı Project, which is a project known in Istanbul as a member of many projects such as Quartet Muartet, Kangroove, İlhan Erşahin’s Istanbul Sessions as well as his solo works.
